Rear Window Plexiglass?

Can anyone confirm that the rear window is plexiglass? Trying to get it tinted but the tint guy says he can’t or he’ll scratch it during tint installation.

Has anyone tinted the rear window? Any pluses or negatives about doing that?

I had an r52 convertible.....the back window was glass. Not sure about the f57, but i can’t imagine that it wouldn’t be glass.

I had my windows tinted in that car, but opted to leave the back window clear. It was so dark inside because of the small black window and dark top....was hard enough to see out the back as it was without the window being tinted.

Good point. I think with the top black, the interior black and side windows tinted it should be dark enough.

The back window is definitely glass. I'm honestly shocked the tint guy thought anything different. All windows (except the windshield) in our F57 are tinted. I personally think it would look odd with the rear window not tinted.

This guy has done most of my cars so I'm surprised too. I just had the sides done and have the top down now to aide in drying so I'll see how it looks once I raise the top up.
