I have a 14 MCS with the 6.5" radio/bt package (no idea what they call it).

This morning I started the car and the radio system seems to be in a constant loop. I hear a slight popping noise in the speakers and the display comes on, showing me the animated MINI logo, then it goes blank for 3 seconds. I then hear the pops, display lights up, wash rinse repeat.

Over the past 8 months I've had the radio reboot like this 4-5 times. Now it's basically stuck. All other electronics work, but anything that uses the center display is screwed, including bluetooth, radio, etc.

I'm supposed to drive to LA from Phoenix tomorrow morning and MINI won't give me a loaner to take out of state. Anyone have any suggestions to try to get it going? I sure seems like a short of some kind, but I can't be sure.
