Can someone who has taken delivery of there Thunder Grey car please check their VIN plate and tell me what the paint code of the car is?

I have seen a code - B58 mentioned online, but I want to be sure as the paint shop will be painting some chrome trims for me before I actually get the car!

The reason I'm asking is because some people have posted saying that the GPII paint looks different to the F56 paint in person, so I want to see if they have changed the paint code?

Call me crazy, but I parked right next to a GPII tonight with my TG F56 and it was absolutely a shade or two darker.

 

The F56 was darker or the GP?

 

I heard that the GP was lighter and has more blue in it. Not as warm. Can we ask for a repaint or $4000 worth of accessories? It's ment to be the same color!

 

I put my GP II VIN in the decoder and got B58 (Thunder Gray Metallic)

 

F56 is darker. Richer color and definitely dramatically changes with the spectrum of light on it.

I have my VIN - but the cars not built yet, so putting it into the VIN checker turns up no results. :(

I have given the B58 paint code to my paint guy, so I will just have to hope that it turns out OK.

I know sometimes they add a number onto the end of the paint name to take into account the slightly different shades.

It's only front & rear light rings that I'm having painted - so it's a small area really!

 

Apparently the color code on the GP is B58/7. Not sure what the 7 part is but Way Motors has a GP and looked under the hood. I gather from this that B58 is a general color only.
R99 call your dealer or mine if yours doesn't have a TGM in stock and ask them to look under the hood before you mix anything.
