How do you remove this from the side turn signal?

I would like to know if any of you removed this piece that surrounds the side indicator of my Mini. It's horrifying:

Is it glued or does it have a hole?

Thank you very much

@srpena, the scuttle surrounds are installed using Betalink, a glue BMW/MINI uses.

Some dealerships installed them using 3M automotive double sided tape instead of Betalink.

This picture is from the official instructions and shows where the glue is applied.

I hope this helps,

Rich

Betalink is an adhesive to glue spoilers on BMWs

As mentioned, it MIGHT have been dealer installed with 3M which comes off way easier.

You can try to soften with a heat gun and hope it comes off without damaging the paint.
I would leave it alone.

Good question because I'm curious about this, too. I'd ideally like to take the checkerboard style scuttle surrounds off mine since they're starting to yellow after seven years in Southern Sun.

If I can't get the glue off to go to paint again, I'll definitely be going with the style you have. I suppose alternately I could have a replacement panel put on but that's a lot of money for not a lot of gain.
