Need additional key fob - need help

My daughter bought a 2014 Mini Cooper S in a few months ago and it only came with 1 key fob. I feel really uncomfortable with only one key fob so I’m thinking about getting an additional key fob. Found an online place that sells a new one for $90. But it r
needs to be programmed for her car. I’m sure the dealer will not program it since I didn’t get the fob from them. I called up a couple of local automotive locksmith and they can’t do it. Any suggestions? Or should I just pay the stealership big $$$ to get an additional key fob?

They'll need the VIN and a copy of her DL and registration. BTDT.

Dealer only item. They will require proof of ownership and driver's license for security reason.

You can get programed key only or you can get physical key cut as well. All done by BMW/Mini corporate, not from dealership (they're only one who is authorized to order genuine keys).
I recently had to get a new key for my wife's 2018 BMW key that was stolen prior lease return.
