Retrofitting OEM LED Headlights

Hi, I've done a search and cannot find information on whether it is feasible to replace my standard halogen headlights with OEM LED headlights. I purchased a pair which include ballast, etc. and checked installation; plug is the same as the halogen, they mount the same way, but not sure if this will work as plug/play or even coded with Bimmer Code. Any input would be appreciated.

Here's two threads about retrofitting. It appears it's not plug-n-play (wiring loom differences and other issues), and prohibitively expensive (like nearly every other MINI retrofit).

I saw some non-OEM upgrade kits appear on a Google search, but they're from non-US sources.

Those F56 headlights have a pretty big reflector. If you're comfortable opening the housings, I would put your money into this kit:

The halogen lights look the best and the lighting is great too. No need to change them.

Thanks all for the input. I will have to check out some of these options as my current halogen lenses have become foggy on the inside, and need to be replaced.

Hi and sorry to bring up this old thread, but where did you get these headlights?? I’ve been looking and can’t find these.
