BM3 tune has standalone configuration for burbles on top of their tune. So it's some good option to add some power + matching noise.

 

except you can’t tune anything newer than 2019.

unless you’re Mario Palza. But no 2021 or 2022 yet.

Vivid racing claims they can do it. Sales manager here sent his ECU in. They confirmed they can’t tune them and when they tried something else it bricked the ECU.

 

I have noticed that my '22 JCW Hardtop will pop sometimes when I downshift.

 

same. But not nearly as loud as 2020 and older.

 

My last MINI, a '19 JCW Hardtop had the JCW exhaust with the remote. A total pain in the ***. Maybe I could enjoy a slightly louder exhaust in my '22 JCW, but 4 bangers never sound really great anyway. Bottom line, my '22 is just fine. No drone while cruising and a little growl when accelerating. If I were going to add any mods, they would have to add power or improve handling. Changing sound is not enough for me.

 

That sucks. but I'm sure sooner or later, somebody will make the tune with burble options. They know it's $$ maker for them.
Got my BM3 tune and whatever setup they had didn't really have burbles so I changed burble setup to stock (which is JCW tune in my case) and I got the burbles back.
I love my lil mini S with JCW exhaust sound (love it so much so I bought it for 15k and modded 20k+ on top of 15k, haha).

 

oh they will burble all day long. They just don’t pop like they used to.
