2019 Mini Cooper > Battery discharging while stopped - message

Hello Mini Gurus -

I took my Mini out for a five hour drive today with no problems. Then I stopped to get some gasoline and when I turned the car off a message said "Battery discharging while stopped". After filling it up with gas, I then I turned it back on and began driving and noticed the a/c was not working at full power and everything seemed to be on 'conservative mode' as if to preserve the battery.
I have an appointment with the dealer on Tuesday (since it's still under warranty). I drive the car almost every other day for a hour or more so it is getting used frequently.

Is this the sign of a battery dying? The car is only a year old.

Thoughts?

Battery or Alternator could be the issue. Dealer will know for sure. Happy to hear you are under warranty.

Brought it to the dealer, it needed a new battery. They replaced it under warranty and reprogrammed the car to recognize it.
All is good now.
