F55/F56 Touch Up Paint
Yes, the dealer is the best choice for touch up paint. The paint name/code isn't listed anywhere on the car your have to call your dealer with the last seven digits of your vin to get the paint code. The dealer can also check to make sure a paint stick is available if not they either have their own bodyshop or work with a reputable body shop that has access to the formula to make one. Not all paints are available, most are but if you have a rare color be prepared to have it custom mixed for you. Most paint stick are around $34 for the paint and clear coat.
I can mix touchup paint of still interested, I have shop with paint mixing system, cost me about $2.00 an oz to mix, On all Minis, the paint code is on the passenger side either on the firewall or on the strut tower.
We have them and some Bavauto touch up paint. Just need that paint code that is in the door jab or by the paint color sticker.

I've had good luck with Dr. Colorchip. It works really well on small chips. https://www.drcolorchip.com/
Can you also mix spray-able paint? I have to respray a F55 JCW bumper to BRG (B22/6).

Are touch-up pens worthwhile? I have a scratch (thin, but down to the base coat). MINI seems to only sell pens (base + clear). If I were to use the bottle paint, I'd use a needle anyway, so is the pen basically just that?
Or should I just go with the (cheaper) bottle and needle method?

Dr. Colorchip works really well. It works better than pens because it fills in the chip and, when done correctly, completely covers the damage. It's also pretty easy to use and is not messy.
It looks like Dr. Colorchip is advertised for chips, do you think it'll be good for scratches too? I only looked quickly at the site and I'll examine it more thoroughly later.
Thanks for the suggestion.
