Stage 2 owners with the pops and flames...
Planning a stage 2 soon and was just wondering if your Mini still loud on eco/green mode? I love the popping and flames but not sure if I would like it all the time.
Yes. In fact, if it weren't for the pops and burbles post-tune green mode for me is louder than post-tune sport mode as far as tone goes and I have no idea why. Like the exhaust sound while decelerating is very noticeably louder. But that may have more to do with the exhaust being a catless downpipe > non-catted/non-resonated midpipe > Remus muffler rather than the tune itself. I honestly don't know.

"Hey man, do you know who's the guy with the super loud car?"

I just accept it for what it is. At least a few of the neighbors consist of a Genesis, WRX, and a few trucks so I'm not the only loud one. But I'm definitely the loudest.

In general P&B is limited to just sport mode. However, I've had clients that want P&B in all drive modes and thats fine. Just know when you go that aggressive with it, there no going back. We built in an RPM limiter to help with the P&B simply just becoming annoying. Cars with this mapping dont start going nuts until >3.5K RPM. This seems to be a sweet spot for putting around town and getting a pop here and there.

Also when you say, "when you go aggressive, you cannot go back" does that mean they you will love the sound, and not want to go back? or the p&b cannot be reversed.
Thanks
El-grunto and I have the same setup, and taste apparently. If you get a "sport" downpipe with your "sport" exhaust, nothing is going to be loud with your stage 2. It will be a bit louder than stock, but it's not going to scare the dog in the driveway. I'm running an rpm stage 2, with a milltek catless downpipe and full 3 inch exhaust with no resonator. I only have an inline straight muffler. Cold starts: I probably wake up the neighborhood. (at least for the first minute or so) then it settles down. Going down the highway, regular and eco mode are the same loudness, and sport is not as loud. It's all airflow. I live on a military base and I was worried about being too loud, and my car isn't even an issue. It's the folks with the straight pipes, no muffler, no cat, that are rattly loud.
I went ahead and did the catless DP and tune with the pops and flames. Very happy with it so far. Green mode sounds like pre tune sports mode with a slightly deeper tone and less highway drone. Glad I did it. Thanks to all who have shared their input.
Of course you will love the sound! Problem is you cant get it to pop and bang just a little. Its A LOT!
