Carbon Fibre Bonnet/Hood for the F55

A great big hello to everyone!

It is my first time posting in this section of the forum. I've previously posted on the R58 section. I still have my R58 and its still a work in progress too..

I recently came across an opportunity to buy a F55 Cooper S which was written off by an insurance company. It was listed as a "repairable write off".

All 4 wheels were intact and did not appear to have any damage, so i assume the suspension assembly is okay too.

The front left "fender" area is damaged. I hope until the suspension mounts but i will know more when i see the car next week. Unfortunately i won the auction but was not allowed inspection prior THANKS to Covid19. I hope everyone remains safe and healthy during these terrible times.

As the Mini's dont exactly come with front fenders, the fender is part of the "hood/bonnet", it would seem i have to replace the entire Hood/bonnet as its quite damaged.

Can i ask if there are any "Carbon Fibre Bonnet/Hood's" available? Ive found the ones with vents and louvres at the side, like a Duell AG type. But i prefer a hood that is identical to the stock ones except that it is made with carbon fibre.

If anyone can point me in the direction of one, i would appreciate it very much!

In the meantime, ive attached the auction photos of the written off car just for viewing pleasure! I am looking to buy the parts online and attempt to repair this as much as i can at home in my garage.

Thereafter i will surrender the car to a panel beater to knock whatever needs to be knocked and painted.

Any thoughts and opinions are much much appreciated! A great big thanks in advance.
