Option 541 Active Cruise Control (ACC)

For those who have 541 ACC, I've been able to code full Stop n Go cruise control. You'll be able to have your car completely stop and start again without using the gas and brake. Perfect for when you're in traffic.

F56 series is the only series that uses solely the KAFAS camera to do ACC while the rest of the BMWs use an additional radar system in front.

I've verified this today and it does work. I also have an extra Retrofit set for active cruise control (541) for anyone who's coming from regular cruise control (cruise control with automatic braking, option 544). I retrofitted 541 for my car came with 544 also.

Please PM me for coding details if you have 541 already for stop and go function.

So I take it you retrofitted the KAFAS camera, too (since you indicated your car came with the regular cruise control)?

The Mini Cooper SE, for some reason, includes Driver Assistance (which I believe includes the KAFAS camera) but does not offer ACC. What would be the options for enabling ACC on this car?
Thank you so much for all your great work!

Do other Markets that offer the Cooper S E, offer the ACC as an option?

Do manual transmission cars with option 544 allow for braking on any level? Obviously start/stop is not possible, but I'm just curious if there is any automatic braking involved on manual MINIs.

Hi William Choi, could you share how to code so we can get this on our car too? Thanx! I also thought this should be possible since the system is the same as in the countryman.
I also want to find out how we can activate driving assistant plus on a countryman since it is possible on a BMW X1 and X2 which use minis camera based system. It also should be somthing like coding and maybe a cable and a button. Mini's even have the driving assistant plus icon in the dash already.

Our last two BMW i3s had this feature using the camera system. I wouldn't be surprised if it's hidden int he Mini.

the countryman also has it. I knew it should be possible to activate. I wanted to compare this with my new countryman i get end of the week, but if someone already figured it out it would be nice if the knowledge is shared 😄

To activate full stop and go active cruise control you'll need e-sys pro to edit the cafd files for the SAS and DSC modules.

DSC2:
C_Funktion_AccStopAndGo_aktiv_I - aktiv

SAS:
LDM_Fahrfunktion - ACC_SnG

*SAS: optional for automatic start after full stop:
LDM_Automatisches_Losfahren - automatisches Losfahren

PM me if you have any questions.

You need to add sas ecu to activate ACC in your car.

I made it yesterday.

They actually do - I was totally surprised by it, did not expect it at all. One day at the intersection, there was a slooow moving vehicle in front of me that was trying to make a right so I decided to quickly overtake it on the left and come back to my lane before any oncoming traffic comes my way and as I was accelerating in first gear I tried passing really close to the vehicle in front of me - and at the moment where I was very close to it's bumper my car just beeped and jabbed the brakes and released them just before I came to a stop so it wouldn't stall and I was able to press the clutch in quickly! It surprised the hell out of me! I didn't think that automatic braking was active for manual cars because of possible stalling in traffic but I guess now I know...lol.

I didn't try to check if I have ACC but I'll try it when I get a chance - it could be that it has a limiting range of operation or it's turned off completely because of the system not being able to downshift gears if it needed to slow down considerably and then accelerate again. My car is 2019 F56 JCW 2-door hard top by the way. I don't know which exactly package I do have built in 541 or 544 - is there a way to find out with Bimmercode or something? I know I have the collision warning, pedestrian warning, speed limit signs recognition, automatic high beams and etc.

Thanks for that! I think I have all those same options on my '21 JCW 2-door. My build sheet mentions the S541 option but nothing about a 544 option.

So I have a 2018 F60 All4, it is fully loaded, got it second hand, and it was the only one I found that was fully loaded, has every upgrade package, yet-not JCW, but one thing that threw me off was the HUD and no ACC. I believe because of the way it was ordered when the original owner purchased it, they did messed up and didn't put that in. Wondering about retrofit. Even more unusual was when I saw the car park itself, yet using radar, but couldn't use that to tell if an obstacle was in front in other situations. Coming from a car that had a camera based cruise control, I am used to it. Sign display in HUD would also be a bonus.

No, you can't use bimmercode to code. You have to use esys, ISTA, tool32 to code your car.
