Weird one on my '16 (3-door, base). Parked the car for the weekend, got in Monday morning, unpleasant surprise: spongy brake pedal, with long travel! What's more, when I press the brake pedal, I hear a low, faint electrical buzzing sound (relay-esque). Haven't been able to track down the source of the sound, it's annoyingly faint, but it sounds like it's coming from inside the cabin, somewhere in the lower dash, brake pedal area. (I could be wrong, sound could be coming from engine compartment, near the master.)
Sound familiar to anyone? Brakes themselves are excellent, replaced front and rears within last 6 months. Fluid is topped up. Pumping the pedal does help.
I'm in Dallas if anyone can recommend a good indie shop. Cheers in advance...
And oh, if anyone is curious how a a '64 Volvo 1800 Smiths tach would look in a Mini...
