F55 HPFP failure?

Hello, I have a 2015 F55 base, which went limp and stalled out within seconds while I was driving pretty conservatively in a parking lot. After that, it kept stalling and I had to tow it back home.

It would also make helicopter/rattling sounds when I unlocked it or tried to start it. At home, my Carly said it had 11B018 (Fuel Pump, Fuel Pump Controller: Speed Missing), 110001 Cylinder injection shutdown: Kastchultz because of pressure too low in fuel system.

My regular cheap OBD loaded P142e, which I believe is HPFP failure that ravaged older BMW 335s.

The car mysteriously started again the next day, but I'm too scared to drive it. I have been using my other car, but I prefer the Mini for its handling. Is it a HPFP failure? Should I replace the HPFP? Anyone had this issue? I know this was an issue in older R models, but not here.

Thank you again.

S/JCW engine? Seems like the HPFP is bad, did you ran it low on oil? Because if the camshaft isn't lubricating the lifters enough on the HPFP it won't make enough pressure because the clearence is out spec due too much wear.

He says it is a base model, not an S/JCW. realoem.com does still show that it has a pump at the fuel rail though but have you seen the prices? WOW! I hope it is not the fault.
