Max AC not working?

2017 F56, its winter time here in New England so the temp is regularly 35 degrees and below, however my windows were fogging and I pushed the AC button to help with the fogging, then I pushed the Max AC button right next to it and it doesn’t/won’t do anything. It doesn’t light up or turn on but the regular AC works fine. The Max AC button worked no issues over the summer time, is there some kind of correlation between the outside temp and the car not letting me turn on Max?

Most likely yes, there is a correlation between the outside temp and the car not letting me turn on Max.

I do not know the system on your Mini but most modern AC systems are not able to be operated when the ambient temperature is cold. It is designed that way to protect the system from freezing up.
