2019 BRG Mini 3 Cylinder - 6,000 Miles Review

Wow...hard to believe I put 6,000 miles in just five short months on my Mini. This car has been my daily driver to work every day since I bought it, and I take it on the merciless New Jersey Turnpike five days a week. It has been a true road warrior.
I am averaging about 32 mpg with premium fuel and that works just fine for me. Everything works perfect, no creaks, noises or funky stuff going on - it's just a very well made car. The three cylinder turbo engine holds its own perfectly fine on the highway.

My wife liked it so much that she traded in her 2017 Subaru for a 2019 Countryman S. Again - another fabulous car by Mini.

Love these cars! Can't believe its taken me this long to own one. Really is the perfect daily driver, no other car blends fun and efficiency so well, while having more character than nearly everything else on the road. Whatever the cars have lost in Mininess over the last 2 generations they have more than made up for in build quality. For people who are really hardcore about the R53 and don't appreciate the 2 newer generations why not just drive a classic MINI if you're that much of a Minifile?!

Looks like you are lucky enough to enjoy both!

My daily driver before was a Porsche 911. So glad I sold it for this Mini.

I have not found a car that is sized the same and has the same utility of the Mini. As long as they keep making them, I will always have one.

My wife and I jumped to mini back in June. We got her 2016 Justa F57 Convertible first and the spirit, stick and personality won me over so I got a 2016 a F54 Clubman S with a stick. Also feel that build quality is excellent, despite British ancestry, this is clearly a German-built machine. Great mix of what make both German and British cars so damned enticing. I just hope they are as reliable as out previous Japanese cars. The 3 cylinder in her car is surprisingly energetic and has a wonderful turbine sound. Love the 5l6 speed sticks in both, though the heft of the stick connected to the Clubman 2.0 engine feels better rewpetice to weight and engagement.

People don't give the Justa enough credit! Love my 2019 F57 Justa (Barnaby) and chose it over the S or JCW on purpose, and cost had nothing to do with the decision. Picked Barnaby up May 2018 and he has 26,000 on the odometer already. He's asleep in the garage for the winter right now, but can't wait for spring. Also, Barnaby regularly tackles the glorious NJ highways, too!
