Contact Dinan. I have an Elite on my 2017 JCW and I have gotten P12A5 and P12A8 codes. I sent it back to them once and that seemed to solve the problem for a while. Dinan was very responsive and took care of it very quickly so you should contact them.

I had a CEL pop up last week (P12A8) and was ready to send it back to them again, but it cleared itself. We'll see how long that lasts. I really do like the difference it makes, but the CELs are a pain.

The Elites on some of the BMW M240i's are having similar issues. In many cases the codes will clear (as per Dinan). There are a few the seem to be more persistent. IN my case on mine BMW, I get a code and it will clear after approx 3 restarts, but come back after approx 3 more. Code does not affect performance and in my case, according to Dinan, is only measuring manifold pressure on engine shut down which appears to be higher than allowed. Strangely, if I drive the car with the shift lever set to the M/S position (pulled to the left in a US car), the CEL's stop completely. I'm guessing that when the transmission is set to this position, the engine produces more manifold pressures and the ECU then reads it as normal. Dunno.

May be something worth trying if anyone else is getting a recurring CELthat clears.
