JCW Knights Edition

Mini of Honolulu has a JCW Knights Edition so this weekend I went down to look at it thinking I’d probably get it. I’ve been doing some research on it and watched YouTube videos, I was ready. To my shock it was sitting outside, ok no biggie they just put out there to show it off. I walk over to it and it’s all dirty, full of water stains from the sprinkler system, the rims all water stained and the rotors and JCW calipers covered in rust. A dent on the passenger door and the Inside all dirty. OMG, a $42k beauty basically ruined. It would have taken lots of work on their part to buff all those water marks off. The rotors didn’t just have rust on the surface, they were thoroughly rusted. What a shame, I went home sort of sad but grateful in my clean and beautiful Mini.

Hello,

Did you let them know, it might be a dealer demo? We had one from CnC at ECS Tuning and it was super clean and just sold.

Yes, I had them open it up so I could look at it, cranked it up and only had 25 miles on it. I also pointed out the dent which they didn't know about. Really sad...

I bought one a few months ago that was also outside, dirty, and very low miles. I wasn't really looking for a new car but they offered a really good deal on it. I guess that edition did not sell well.

That's what I was thinking, someone could probably get a good deal on it considering it's condition. My main concern would be the brakes, they just looked horrible all rusted and I don't mean the brake surface, I mean the whole rotor and calipers. They looked like something on car that sat in water like in a flood. Those sprinklers really did a job on them.
