F55/F56 Forge High Flow Intake Hardpipe
#26
After tinkering in the engine bay, the fact that the forge pipe looked shorter in your pictures popped in my mind..... How much does it effect placements of filters (Such as the BMS), that uses the stock filter housing? Is it really as drastic of a reduction in length as it looks? Would suck having to buy another intake... ( I mean I'd enjoy it, but the wallet and missus? ....Not so much.)

The Forge pipe has a rather long silicon boot on the end of it. As seen on Way's website. https://www.waymotorworks.com/forge-...-f57-mini.html

Review for sure. It will be a few weeks though. Lovely Minnesota blessed me with 11in of snow so it will be a while before the Mini is out of storage.
Worst state ever

The install was a pain just in the fact that the instructions on the site didnt do a great job of conveying the actual work needed. They made it appear that it was a simple out with the old, in with the new. If the instructions resembled the process to take the downpipe out then it would have been an easy install.
Also, take into account it was cold, like negative temps, when we install it too so pieces werent flexing much as they would in the heat. Im sure that hindered the install too.

Hopefully this week!! I think the winter from hell is finally winding down. The great mistake of Minnesota is going to be in the 50s next week so I will get a few drives in!

I don't have a lift so that's out. This hardpipe plus the Eventuri intake will be my first hands on mod with the car. Dealer did the JCW Pro Tune and Suspension.

I guess my only concern, at this point, is that clip that you undo with a flat head screw driver. The instructions mention not to let it drop but I can't find any photos online of the clip itself. I'm trying to figure out the mechanism on it so I don't drop it. Is it something that shouldn't be too much of a concern unless I'm literally prying it off?
