Thoughts on Running Stop Tech Pads w/ OEM

I've already replaced the rears with OEM factory pads and am wondering you guys' thoughts on running StopTech pads (sport pads) for the front??

I also realize a fairly noticeable difference in price between the StopTech pads (cheaper) and BMW OEM pads. Could any of this possibly be based on quality/ durability??

I've used the stoptech pads in the past and not had good luck with them as they didn't have the bite we wanted and also made noise. I'd suggest going back with stock pads or like EBC reds as those are both good and reliable.

There is also the textar pads which is who makes the Original MINI pads that are cost effective

Any of those combos will work fine with the OE pads in the rear

Seconded this advice.

On previous rides - ive had great success with Textar pads - nice price and decent bite/noise. Coat the backs with plenty of paste is also a tip to pass on

Thanks! I've used EBC's in the past (on a GTi) but honestly forgot how much advantage they added. Checked out those links but I'll need options that'll fit a JCW, Now I'm thinking maybe I should've put this in a different thread....smh
