Is this Normal?

Greetings!

I was walking toward Mr Bridger (my MINI Se7en F56), and noticed what appeared to be a protrusion below the engine. My oil was just changed, so I am wondering if the wonderful dealership forgot to tighten something...

Looks like one of the flaps/doors for access to change oil. Each “door” has two moving tabs that need to be secured after closing the flap. Get it on a lift if possible to be able to get a good look at the problem.

My 2015 S has nothing like that hanging down......I'd be wondering if your dealership didn't remove something that they should have.

Looks like an oil catch bucket/funnel.

This is exactly why I like to change my own oil! No excuse for such sloppiness....take it back and make them see it!

The tech had to notice it missing from his bay!

Consider it a freebie.

There's an access panel to get to the oil plug down there. They obviously forgot to secure it or didn't secure it correctly. Hate service departments...
