Front bumper cover

Dealer wouldn't replace 2015 pretty badly discolored front bumper cover under warranty. I have one coming in the mail. I saw someone say on another forum that there was a way to change it in 7 minutes, but I can't get a response from the person. Just thought someone over here might know. I'm guessing the fact that there are only clips holding it on is the way but can't figure out how I'd get to those clips without doing some major disassembly on the front end.

Call the 1800 number for mini and file a complaint, they can push the dealer to do it.

Agree they probably should replace under warranty if you fight it. What was the reason given why it wasn't covered?

Dealer sales and service revenue is down. I’m surprised the service writer didn’t jump at a chance to bill two hours back to BMW. Techs like this one because book rate is 2 hours but it can be done in 20 min.

So far, on my 2015, I’ve had the front black bumper cover replaced due to discoloration, the side scuttles due to the red Ses fading out, and the trim at the base of the windshield which slowly turned to a chalky light grey.

if you are in warranty, contact MINI North America directly. And if you have already bought parts, as it sounds you did, push for reimbursement. After all, you had to buy the parts from them, whether directly or indirectly.
