2015 MCS Airtec Uprated Intercooler

In preparation for my upcoming Bytetronik tune, I purchased the Airtec Intercooler and had it installed. I've had it on my car for a couple weeks, runs perfectly fine, but there is a slight gap, about a half inch, due to the connecting pipe's angle being off. You can see it in the photos. I'm wondering if this is normal regarding Airtec, and if it is a manufacturing defect, albeit a minor one. My mechanic assured me it wouldn't cause any problems, but I'd like to check with you all and hear your thoughts.

That is interesting. I installed mine myself and know it does sit flush to that bracket. The intercooler is bolted down so it should not be able to move. The only issue I can think of is if it could move it would vibrate and wear down the metal.

I see. Perhaps mine is flawed, after all. It can't move, as far as I can tell.
