Transmission

I have a 2013 mini cooper S hardtop. The other day I found a huge amount of fluid in front of the car in the garage. In the process of trying to locate the source I called the mini dealer in Charlotte who told me that my transmission was sealed from the factory and I could not check the level. Long story short in looking underneath while on the lift there is a hole in the bottom on the transmission where I can clearly see a gear. The hole doesn't have threads. Is this some kind of plug that has come on and drained the fluid? If so can this be fixed or am I looking at a new transmission. Any help here would be soooo appreciated.
Thanks.

A picture would help, as well as posting this in the 2nd Generation threads. You wound up in F56 2014+ area.

The transmission and engine drain plugs are practically side by side underneath. Not sure how the plug would come out by itself or if you have another hole maybe caused by hitting something. If you just need a new drain plug install it and you can refill the transmission via a fill plug on top of the transmission under the hood.
