CVT Transmission - transmission won't disengage when brake is on
We had a CVT transmission break its belt, and I purchased a "rebuilt working" transmission. The transmission was replaced by a certified mechanic, and taken to BMW/Mini to fill the fluid and retrain.
So in theory, it should be "good as new". But the car won't disengage the transmission all the way when the brake is on. (it acts like a standard would when you have the clutch partially engaged - it pulls, and the engine dies).
When driving, it seems to rev too high before shifting, and then wait to long before down shifting, and seems to slip quite a bit.
Does anyone know what might cause this? The transmission guy is saying the clutch adaptations need to be reset. Mini claims they did, and it still does it.
Anyone know what might be wrong with the new transmission?
Did Someone put in the wrong fluid?
Is the valve body or solenoid bad?
Bad transmission rebuild?
Clutch belts bad/going out?
