Disconnecting/Reconnecting Battery

Hello,

I'm thinking of installing some Highway Horns and that will require me to disconnect the battery in order to install the relay. Is there any issue with disconnecting and then reconnecting the battey as far as software or coding goes with my F56? I've read that if you replace the battery that there is coding involved. Is this true? Seems like I could run into this issue if I disconnect/reconnect the battery. Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

-Joseph

Pretty common to disconnect Negative terminal when doing that kind of work. Nothing evil should occur. Battery replacement and coding is a different issue about charging rates, etc.

Can you link the horns you are installing? I had Hellas on my Subarus and wouldn’t mind a louder horn

Thank you. That makes sense. Coding only required when a NEW battery goes in.

Hella Supertones. Very easy to locate. I'm thinking of going with a Triple Horn setup. Tuning the third horn to a lower KH range of tone.
