F55/F56 Remove shift knob on 2014 F56 S with auto?
Remove shift **** on 2014 F56 S with auto?
Has anyone removed/replaced the auto shift **** on their 2014+ MINI with auto?
I have an aftermarket **** from Flameball.com and it has a button on the top of the "cue ball" that would depress the rod going down the middle of the shaft to release/engage the mechanism.
My MINI dealer told me it wouldn't work but I can't believe Flameball would sell these if it didn't.
How does this mechanism work on the autos? Inquirying minds NEED to know!

Won’t work.
The actuator rod that is moved by the button on the stick shift **** is *RAISED* when the button is pushed. Any aftermarket **** would need to lift the rod as well.
I’ve just now had to pull the **** out of my R56 Justa auto because the button won’t move. Looks like I’m in the market for an aftermarket **** myself.
