I now have an actual update from the dealer:
- due to the codes being thrown, my case was referred up to Mini Corporate in NJ.
- diagnosis from Mini is a bad oil pressure sensor.
- new sensor arrived at dealer today. Ideally I'll get the car back tomorrow.

So, yeah, I'm feeling much better about things today.

Good to hear a resolution. The anti chip tuning hysteria can now go back into the caves and wait for the next malfunction codes to appear on someones display screen.

You can't pry my Dinan chip from my warm alive fingers.

Let's hope that's indeed all it is.

If so, your only remaining issue will be the need to turn in that Clubman S All4 loaner without ever knowing the joy of plugging your Dinan into it and ripping around town without torque steer.

Please do let us know the final, final verdict.

While I don't think I can replace my Pathfinder with a Clubman S All4, it sure would be fun to try...

We swapped a 2014 Range Rover Evoque Prestige for our Clubby. Took me about 5 minutes to get over it. The Clubman had my wife at the test drive. Nooo regrets. The more substantial SUV's are great, practical, and useful and much more robust, but the Clubman is insane fun.

Dealer just called; my hardtop is ready!
Issue was confirmed to be the oil pressure sensor. They did some test driving (before and after scheduled maintenance) and there is no longer any issue.

I'll be a happy camper once I get out of work today.
