Need opinions. Burger JB4 or NM Eng power mod.
I've been reading about both tunes and not sure which way to go, so I need a little help. I have a 2015 MCS with JCW Tune. What is your opinion and why? Burger JB4 or NM power module?
Thank you in advance.

I have the same setup and am running the NM module, so obviously I'll recommend the NM. If you ask some one with a JB4 chances are they'll recommend that as well. The NM is simpler and the JB can be tinkered with more. I've seen dyno sheets with the JCW tune and NM showing 269HP. I haven't seen a dyno sheet with a JCW tune and a tweaked JB.
I did a lot of research on this, as have others. I ended up purchasing the Dinan Sport Performance Tuner, which is about the same concept as the NM, only less costly and with a few more features, and, if it means anything, it does have the Dinan name on the box, although not the usual Dinan engine warranty.
I elected to go with tweaking only a single input (the TMAP sensor), which both the NM and Dinan do.
The concern is always over lean conditions. Based on the PSI increases these boxes create, the general consensus is everything stays within a safe range and the engine management computer systems are fast and attentive enough to prevent disaster.
Add on devices are marketed with a lot of hype. And the dyno numbers have to be taken with a certain amount of interpretive leeway.
I did have excellent direct communication with the people at NM as well as the people at Dinan and was satisfied with the answers they provided to all of my very specific questions. I have heard the people at JB are equally excellent.
It all comes down to having realistic expectations as well as a clear sense of what you are seeking. All these products definitely change engine performance and everyone who has used them reports positive performance improvements.
