Replacing F56 Dynamic Dampers...

Got a quick question regarding the dynamic dampers. Since they will inevitably need to be replaced, is it possible to replace them with regular aftermarket MINI shocks/struts? Or will the car throw a fault and/or require the expensive OEM dynamic damper replacement parts?

Just curious. Would also be good to know if, for example, when it's time to replace the shocks and the car is out of warranty, one could put a good pair of coilovers in there.

People have already replaced the DD's with aftermarket coilovers. I think the dealer has to do something t the software so the car doesn't throw a code. If it's out of warranty they might charge you for that. Trade the car in before they wear out!
