Calling all autox/track guys
I'm working with a very reputable wheel company to get a trial run of 10 sets made. The specs are 17x8, bbk friendly, et38, and weighing in just over 15 lbs per wheel. Is that offset agreeable? The style is a simple and classic 10 spoke design. Would you pay $400 per wheel? The lack of track focused wheels on our 3+ year old chasis has led me to take matters into my own hands.

for autocross those would work for STX and higher but not for STF mini's they don't allow that much width, and definitely not for the street classes they don't allow 8" wheels and that much offset change
for d-street I use 16x7 ENKEI RPF1 and for STX I have 15x8 949racing

^good info. Thanks! I have only run in NDS and they didn't mind. Also I'm looking to get these done in various colors. I'm looking at hopefully getting
matte black
gloss black
gunmetal
red
orange
yellow
blue
green
gold

I just got a set of new wheels. Assetto Gara 16x7. 16lb at $130 each.
For D street class, the width has to be no more than oem wheel and within 7mm of factory offset.
Et38mm and 8" width are both illegal.

Try looking at a 7.5 width x et 43,
that's what I'm running, seems it may tick your class boxes and clears Jcw Brembo
( I thought their was an option for a oem wheel at 7.5, but I cannot recall which one now ...might be a bad idea unless someone can find it

it doesn't look like these wheels will be too desirable for the autox guys but I'm betting for performance minded street and track use they will still be a success.

Update: this is still moving forward. I have been restricted to 2 colors for the first run of 10 sets. One color will be matte black, what other color would y'all like to see at first? I should have some detailed pricing within the next week as well!
Been looking for a lightweight 15x7 track wheel since I got my F56 last year--only the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 comes close but at 15 lbs. it's heavy.
My 15x7 ET40 Kosei K4Rs on my R56 are 10.5#--that's what want for the F56.

I don't think a 15" will accomodate many brake upgrades. Also the load rating for wheels on 3rd gen is higher than previously. I don't expect you will see wheels that light for this chasis unless someone like CarbonRev gets on board.

What's the consensus on 16" vs 17" wheels for autox?
ok so I have some pricing available. The list price for a set of 4 is $1820 + shipping but I can probably save you a bit. Being that I am not a vendor I cannot organize a group buy on this site. If you are interested in a set of these add me on facebook (qman2397@aol.com) or instagram (randomquickness)

Totally agree. I bought the NM engineering wheels and they are great. 6 AX days and no problem.
I wanted wheels with the exact specs i believe to be perfect for the chasis. These wheels are IMO the best option. They don't require spacers, don't require hub rings, will clear most bbks, can mount wider rubber if desired, look better, and still in the 15lb range. I know they are not the cheapest option, just what i consider a better option than what is currently available. I quite like rpf1s and if you could grab a set with my desired specs i would have already. I still believe the aftermarket for our chasis has a lot of catching up to do!

Looking at the stock brakes, I can't imagine a BBK ever being necessary for the car. They've got quite a good setup, and with the weight and wheelbase of the car I'm pretty sure they'll lock up all day and night.
Are people pushing these up north of 400whp?

Can you educate me because I really don't know and not challenging you. My Neuspeed wheels; don't require spacers, don't require hub rings, do clear bbk, can mount wider tires (I did), look great (realize this is subjective) and I believe hit or are close to your weight needs. Am I missing something? They were a fraction of the price.
I really would be surprised if there is improvement to be had with a BBK on the chassis at the weight and power it's at. There's always room for improvement with ABS deletes, removing boosters, proper track temp pads. I could see in a spec challenge doing extremely lightweight calipers and rotors - but I don't think it needs that big braking surface at the weight it's at. I'm guessing you can put a LOT of power in before you'd have temperature issues from overall heat too.
If we were looking at like a 3500lb race weight I'd see it. The Mini is closer to 2900 though isn't it?
