Lighting Control Panel to left of Steering Whell

Just installed my new LED driving lights. I installed the On/Off button on the panel to the left of the steering wheel.
I checking everything through I noticed that the lights on this console in my car are on all the time. I am thinking that I have wired something up incorrectly...but maybe this is the way it is. Would someone mind taking a look with your light switched off and see what is happening with yours.
Another thing I have noticed is that the "Driving lights" On/Off button is on the dimmer system, Which means that I can tap into that loop to power my aftermarket gauges. I have the tap point on record so am happy to share if necessary!
Thanks in advance for the responses.

Here are the lights on and off, they are on even when the car is off.

hammerhands, Thanks! That's a load off. I never noticed it before. I guess they decided because it is in a bit of a dark spot and you want to be able to see it in the dark if you don't use the Auto lights function.
