Wanting to use hid's

Has anybody used HID's in their F56 that has halogen bulbs stock. Any problems? if not what brand is recommended

Bad idea. The reflectors are not designed for a HID bulb.

^^ don't do it. you will be blinding everyone else on the road.

+1 Yea, it will blind everyone. Not focused.

One options is to go with the H4/ 9003 Osram silverstar bulbs

I'm running Silverstar Ultra bulbs for high beam on my Suburban and they put out very good light. I was told at the time that I was giving up longevity for more light output, but I've had the same set for 4 years now. Just be careful and do NOT handle them bare handed when installing them. The oil from your fingers will create a hot spot and kill the bulb prematurely.

+1 Good bulb , nice light and nice to keep the stock wattage.

Very good tip vet, yes you have to be careful on the install and the oil from your fingers. gloves help.
