How do i take apart downtube/center dash

any tips? want to access the back of the power adapter so i can tap into it. piggybacking a second adapter. from initial looks, it seems i need to take apart the cupholder section so the lower piece can come out. but again, just a guess.

thanks to whoever can assist.

I am pretty sure I read someplace that the USB/Line-out panel can pry/pop right out. It's such a standard part, used across all BMW and MINI cars.

Maybe using the gaping hole, you can see about pulling the surrounding panel off? I'm sure it does pull right off. Everything else in that vicinity seems to!
