New owner! And a question about the extended maintenance plan

Hello!

I am the happy new owner of a brand new 2015 MINI Cooper Hardtop 4-door. (F55--is this the right forum?)

I have a question about the extended maintenance plan, though. The dealer said it was a great deal because I will have to replace my brakes every 15000 miles, and each brake job costs over a grand. Does either of those amounts seem reasonable? Replacing brakes every 15000 miles seems VERY excessive.

Cost of brakes half and longevity should be at least twice as long. They lie and charge a lot for brakes.

Don't feel pressure to buy it. You can buy it anytime you want as long as you do it before the factory plan runs out. Also you can buy it from another dealer if you want even if you didn't buy the car from them.
It isn't really a good deal as you will be able to go aftermarket much cheaper by then.
You shouldn't go through brakes that fast unless you ride them.
