For those folks who swapped out the Blind Ring, do you recall if there was room between it and whatever lies underneath. I want to mount a magnet under it, but didn't want to pull it off (lazy and don't feel like breaking it for research only).

No. It fits pretty tight up against the LED ring behind. There didn't appear to be any room for a magnet back there.
