Hello everyone! So I bought my first Mini in April. A '15 F56 S in Volcanic Orange with the JCW appearance pack. My brother had an R56 S for awhile so that kinda fueled my want for a new mini. I am so in love with this car it's crazy haha. I traded in my '13 Volvo S60 R-Design for this little guy and I couldn't be happier. It's such an efficient little car. It costs me no more than $40 to fill it up. It's quick as hell. It gets more looks than I am comfortable with sometimes hahaha. But recently I've been having a problem with the transmission. It's the 6 speed auto w/o the sport paddle option. You know how when you put the car in sport mode and it has the blip in the exhaust when you shift? Well when I'm going around a corner (this is when it happens most often, however it has done it totally randomly switching from 4-5 and 5-6 accelerating in a straight line) the car will go to shift, it does the blip, but then it does it like 4 or 5 times. Like the car hesitates and jolts and then shifts. It feels like a misfire but it's not. I brought it to the dealer and went for a ride with a tech and he told me it feels like the traction control. But it has done it before when the t/c is off. Also, which could or could not be related to this, when driving in mid mode recently I've had the car violently shift from 1-2 and 2-3. Two separate times this happened but it was so rough it scared the crap out of me. Has anybody else experienced this? I've attached some shots Just to share 😊.

 

Is it just me or do you not have an exhaust in some of those pictures?

 

Nope. I cut the muffler off and welded in a straight pipe. I haven't had a chance to weld in some new tips yet.
