Just curious... someone posted this video a while back and I got to thinking - how much would it cost to have your MINI delivered by plane in like a day and a half after production? Does anyone know?

Probably as much as the car cost would be my guess. Call Fed Ex and get a quote.

I'd guess that those cars were being shipped to a press event or other corporate function.

U.S. bound MINI aren't ready for customer delivery out of the factory, and are finished at a BMW Vehicle Distribution Center near the shipping port of entry. You'd have to make more arrangements than just the air transport.

 

Yeah I suppose you're right, with the inspection at the PDC they'd still have to be transported there first etc., I just wondered if customers ever had the option to speed up the process, but the cost would likely be very prohibitive. Unless you're Jed Clampett, and I don't think he'd want one of these.
