The nice thing about leatherette is that it is VERY easy to maintain and will hold up better. My leatherette seats I had on my Countryman looked just as good with 45000 miles on them as they did when I picked it up. Damp cloth took care of any mess I had.

They don't get that nice leather patina that real leather does, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on your preferences.

I had the standard seats on my 2012 Justa and they were comfy. I tried the sport seats on a test drive and they really held better in the turns. So I got them in my 2015 F56. At first they were a bit tight-wondered if I should have gotten the regular seats. But, after a thousand miles or so they feel perfect, less fatiguing on long drives too. Give yours some time to break in.

I still like my leatherette. But my leather R58 polar beige seats feel soo nice.

Yes! I hated the stock sport seats. I Just picked my car up last weekend from having these Sparco Chrono's installed. Much more roomy across the back. Although they are tight squeeze in the wee mini.

Interesting thread. I have a 2005 R50 with standard seats and they hold my like a church pew. I slide around all over and have been thinking of doing EXACTLY the opposite. Either cutting the back for better support or adding side bolsters under the upholstery.

Maybe MIni tried to fix the loose R50 seats and made the F55 too tight.
