So I go on Real OEM and look up a Mini part number and it gives me a price associated with that part. Now I can't order from them, just do part searches. So I look on ECS tuning and a number of other vendor sites and this part that ROEM says is $170 sells for $460! What's happening there? Is it dealer price vs. retail? Needless to say I'd much prefer to pay the ROEM price.

 

Real oem is not updated all the time and there price they have listed are ball park ( they don't sell parts ) and sometimes way off or wrong ( think its a data error ). I also seen the wrong part numbers listed also, very rare , but it happens. Price from MINI changes all the time.

Whats the part # ?

 

Part was 11427546279 (Oil filter housing for the N14 engine) I'm trying to develop a remote oil filter adapter for those engines, like I did with the spin-on filter adapter for the B-engines in the F series cars. I just ordered the part from you folks. Just wished the price was closer to what ROEM had!

Yea the part price is that, looks like the price data on real oem is way off. There was a price increase from MINI end of last year but it was still near / over $200.
