Navigation Question

Hey guys! I've had my 4 door mini since March and I love it so far. However, the one thing I've been confused about since day 1 is something on the navigation.

In my husband's Impala, the navigation screen will have a box on the map area that tells him when the next turn/exit is, and whether he'll turn right or left. This stays on the entire time, even if he isn't going to be turning/exiting for a while. Is there really no option for this on the Mini unless you have the heads up display?

I know that when you come very close to the next turn or exit or whatever, a large arrow with info will come on the screen instead of the map, but is there no way to just have this on over the map the entire time?

I asked this question at the dealer and they spent a few min messing with my navigation and couldn't figure it out either.

In order to see what you are looking for, you will need to set your split screen to the arrow display. That will give the street name and distance to the next turn as well as the arrow telling which direction.

Very cool to know thanks.

Just tried it...that's awesome I've had my car for over a year and never knew about that. Thank a million.

WOW. That was so easy. I can't believe we couldn't figure this out! Except that I realize now that we may not have had a destination set when we tried it at the dealership, which I assume is why it wasn't working.

Thanks again!

Yes. That could do it. Without a destination set you will only see your current position.
