Vr tune

Hey guys how's it going?

I've been looking at getting either the vr tune, nm tune, or jb from burgertuning. I've read a little about the n m and the jb. I haven't found any reviews of the vr tune. They are claiming 53hp? Anyone use this tune or have any knowledge about it?

Would you recommend one over the other?

If I had to pick, JB has a longer record with Mini

What year is your F56? Is it a Cooper or Cooper S?

I can tell you if you have a 2015+, the NM tuning box will not work with the B46 engine. NM informs me that they have a B46 version coming soon though.

I believe the BT is not yet approved to work with the B46 either.

It is a '15 so I guess I'll wait until more info is available. Also for an intake, assuming the MAF sensor hasn't changed? Meaning can use the intakes for the b48?

Should be able to...I haven't heard otherwise. I think the consensus with intakes on the F56 is that you won't get much of a power boost, but the turbo noises will get a more pronounced.

im running a k&n filter which i can feel a difference vs. restrictive bmw filter. im also using the bms stage1 with updated firmware and a custom catback.

Does the K&N filter alone make it sound any better/different? Considering one -- don't have a tune in mind right now.

That's all I've done on mine and I've noticed the turbo whoosh is a little more noticeable

I highly recommend the Burger tune. I've had mine for about 9 months now and love it. No way would I ever remove it and go back to the factory power/torque. And it's a safe tune, too.
