F55/F56 Checking Oil...
Checking Oil...
Hey there everyone, I have a quick question in regards to checking the oil.
If the screen says "Engine oil level OK" like the first pic I attached, does that mean it's 100% full?
When I try to start a measurement I keep getting the message in the second pic even though I've been driving the car for a good 30 minutes and I'm on fairly level ground. Wasn't sure how sensitive it is and if I need to be perfectly level. (I tried a couple different places with no luck)
I'd feel better if I could actually see what the level reading is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone for your help! Cheers!

Been waiting for this. The real question that needs answering is who is responsible for the engine if the oil nanny fails and the oil goes away suddenly? My co-pilot just bought a '15 CM and the first thing I looked for was the dipstick. Lucky for her (getting the car) that it had one. No answer for you except to say keep a close eye on your fuse box battery health. The American mechanic is an inventive soul and it may be possible someone will come up with a way to retrofit a useable dip stick.
Scroll down that message, there's another Start Measurement link. It will be greyed out if it is not ready for a measurement.
This is what it looks like when it's ready.

Oil measurement
If you dislike the electronic measurement of oil in the F56, you'll really enjoy the N18 dipstick. It was so useless that many, including me, had to buy a Cravenspeed after market dipstick. I like the electronic measurement. Do you want to go back to a dipstick for your fuel tank?
