new F55 questions - Oil filter/manuals

Hi All,
I am new to this forum/site, so please forgive my questions in advance, but I appreciate any help that can be given.

I (well, it's the wife's)have a new F55 awaiting transport and have a couple questions:

  • What spec oil filter do these use? This is the 2.0L engine, not the 1.6L. Most documents do not list one. I am not interested in a brand specifically, just something to cross reference. I am an AMSOIL dealer and will be using it, but even they do not have a spec yet.
  • Is there a factory shop manual available? Not the Chilton crap at pep boys, but a real one the shop uses?
Thanks!

Mahle oil filter

The oil filter is a Mahle OX 815D ECO. It is listed on the European Mahle site but I haven't found it on the US site, or for sale anywhere in the US (yet).

(You can find it in here: http://catalog.mahle-aftermarket.com...dex.xhtml?l=EN )

You can use the F56 oil change filter system as a guide, note the 1.5 L and the 2.0L have different amount oil kits. No Bentley manual out yet for the F56 or F55. Maybe in the future.

MINI has new oil made by Shell and its a Euro Shell 5w-30 and meet MINI LL-01

Just the Genuine MINI Filters as of right now. Check back on a site in the future for more aftermarket options.

Thanks

I know it's even more early for you as you don't have the car yet but I'm selling an adapter that allows you to use common spin-on oil filters on the F-series Minis. PM me if you'd like more info.

Cheers
