F55/F56 Getting the best Deal
Wow how funny! Yes I had almost got the same build and added the total cooper works but was told that it would not be delivered till June or July and could not get any real numbers as they would have been way higher do to the newness of the build... I was going to go all BLACK but had a BMW X6 all black and hated it as it was always dirty. The electric Blue to me is in the same category as the BMW Valencia orange as thats the color of my X135I now. We will need to meet up one Saturday and wash our min's together ...LOL
The sales guy I first talked to at Vista was the manager Ryan and my MA was Amanda that I had been talking to and emailing back forth but she couldn't give me any numbers till I came in. She was with a customer so I went straight to the manage and did the deal with him then she helped after the deal closed.

South Floridians seem to never wave, I've only ever gotten waves back from fellow "youths".
I had actually been looking at all black too, but don't really like the maintenance, I'm only one kid going to High School, College and with a job, Red has been pretty easy to maintain this far. Funny I almost convinced my dad to get a Valencia Orange X1, I like it and considered as an alternate to the MINI, but wasn't willing to get an Automatic car, I'm more of a shift it yourself type of guy. Just in case you didn't know, MINI's meet the first Thursday of every month at J.P. Mulligans in Pines at 8 on Flamingo Rd. and Taft St., I'm going to start going next month because it's only like 2 minutes from my house and now that I'm graduating I have some more free time (YAY!!!). I believe it's the MINI's of Miami Club there might be a membership fee, but I haven't really looked into it. I've never dealt with Amanda, but Ryan is great manager, a little awkward to speak with, he's very curt, but he gets deals made! We might run into each other, I'm at the dealer at least weekly, my other MINI loves my attention! Hope your MINI doesn't take too long to get here, both of mine took 6 weeks exactly, but I've heard of some people waiting 8 or more.

Sweet X1!!! Nicely done, very sophisticated. I wish I had money to really mod my cars, but with a car payment (my dad foots my F56 payment, he said if I didn't get into an accident in my first two years, got not tickets and kept a 3.5 average, he would get me a MINI, my friends at Rick Case FIAT somehow got me to trade in my first MINI for an Abarth, which lasted all of 2 months, got right back in to my F56 thanks to Vista working with Rick Case, they got me out of the FIAT and back into a MINI. Naturally, I got a ticket the first days I had my R55 S [110 mph/65 mph] and F56 S [52 mph/25mph]), constant repair bills on my '08 Clubman (least reliable but best car ever!) and a just-above minimum wage job, can't do much else to my car but drive it. I do eventually plan to blackout the chrome, get a JCW Tuning Kit and Euro wheel arches though.
Yeah, nice looking car. I like the lighter interior you chose better than the black one on the lot. I think that could be a record sticker price for an F56. I realize you got 2K off though. Your sticker was only about $700 below mine (40.5k), and I got about 2k off. You have WAY more options though. I got Recaros, HK, Miniconnected, blackout Xenons, SS, and AT.
Back in the day my Dad did this in Phoenix (hates car salesmen/haggling). Sent letter to all Chevy dealers: I am going to buy a new Chevy Blazer with these options : XXXXX.
Mail me your best offer (no phone number, this was before email). On March 23 I will bring a check for the best offer to the low price dealership and either drive it home or order it. He mailed it to like 5 dealers. A couple didn't even respond, a couple were a joke, and one was pretty excellent. He picked up the car on March 23. True story. The funny part is every time he tells it some people don't believe it.

My dad did the same sort of thing many years ago. He just needed an A to B car for commuting to work. Didn't want any options. Just a car. He walked into the first dealership (Chevy dealer) and told them he wanted the cheapest new car on the lot and for them to give him their best price. He told them that he was taking their offer to their competition down the road and if the competition beat their price, he wasn't coming back. It worked. My dad hates car shopping.
They moved the gas cap to the passenger side for safety reasons.
All BMWs were designed this way, now the new Minis are this way too.
I know we all prefer it on the drivers side, more convenient when filling up.
