F55/F56 What do you dislike about your F56?

I haven't even taken delivery yet, and my biggest pet peeve from the beginning has been the reduction in size of the fuel tank. The unofficial 'official' response given to me was, for weight reduction. What's gas weigh, 8 pounds a gallon? I'd rather have that 3-4 gallons back and have a longer range between fill-ups.
It would make sense to reduce the fuel tank size, if the intent was to make room for a urea tank for a diesel variant. But I have a feeling we won't see a diesel before the next refresh.

I think it's about 2 gallons less than the R56, which is 14.2 gallons. Which is goofy unless they needed a smaller tank for a reason.

MINI has the technical data online, but off the top of my head I think it's 11.something gallons, including the reserve.

Official specs say it's 11.6 gallons. I think the official number for the R56 was 13.2 or so, but there are reports of folks putting in closer to 14. For a different perspective, the Countryman/Paceman tank is right at about 12. I think.

Gererally, I am pleased with my '14 MCS. What I dislike the most:
1. Fit and finish could be better. Gaps between panels, squeaks on my MINI made in March 2014 are my gripes. The dealer says that it is so much better than previous versions, but that's irrelevant to me.
2. The standard leatherette/vinyl upholstery is not ventilated and can be hot. I had assumed that it was ventilated, but I didn't ask when I ordered that car.
3. That rough/jerky upshift & downshift when that automatic shifts between 2nd and 1st. All other shifts are very smooth.
I like the looks, the power, the handling, the size and I can tolerate the ride, so no regrets about my purchase.

Its probably just me but, getting in and out is kinda a pain. I have the sport seats and my preferred driving position is normall length to pedals with the steering wheel low and all the way pulled out. When I get in and out I always rub on the side bolster or wheel. Im not really too fat...other than that car is great!

I love my F56, but there are two things that annoy me:
1) The horn doesn't beep to confirm locking of the vehicle like my VW did. I always find myself walking back to the car, questioning whether it locked or not (I guess I needed to buy the alarm system to get this feature).
2) The standard bluetooth support is a bit lame. I don't have the voice activated navigation, so I can't dial by voice with my iPhone or use the "voice command" button on the steering wheel. That button does absolutely nothing if you don't have the "Connected" package and it screws around with my OCD. I absolutely hate staring at a button I can't ever use.
I always need to use Siri to dial the person (or risk getting into an accident by dialing through the radio controls), yet I can answer and hang up through the phone button on the wheel.
Other than that, everything is just peachy!

MINI ownership
I bought my first MINI in 2008, an S Manuel. I hung out with the Redwood Mini Owners group out of Headlsburg,Ca. We were a driver's group. The runs were fun and the members were car guys.
It's gone. Boring drives to the nearest donut shop.
I am going back to a performance oriented car. MINI has lost me. Too "touchy feely". No more rawness.

Wrong answer.
Correct answer: No dipstick? That's bull***t!
When it breaks, you're out of luck. And if you're a home mechanic, you don't change your oil on a lift; you jack up the front, which means a little oil can remain behind. What to do? You can't simply measure the oil before refilling; you need to rely on the dipstick measurement. I see how the electronic reminders are great for most drivers but it's not for me.

Squawk list:
Handling is not as responsive as the R56
It's too easy to inadvertently trigger the rear hatch to open with the key fob
Inadequate, too muted interior trim options
Tach looks like it's from a Buick - bring back the R56's Tach
Bring back sport suspension as an option
