i was driving along today boosting hard in first and hit second boosting hard and my car shut down with a code saying something like vehicle dynamics stability drive easier, see dealer. then it wouldnt start just cranked over. played with the menu settings and locked doors and unlocked then got it to start but check engine lite stayed on. i did have some good gas i just put in, 93 octane with 16oz. of torco unleaded booster to give me about a 97 octane. my mods are k&n filter second cat and reso and muffler delete and bms b48 stage1 tune. maybe too much torque for road conditions. it was kind of slushy snow and i was throttleing to try to keep a little traction. has this happened to any body elses 2015 cooper s? thanks.

Vin Diesel jokes aside- this sounds like the issue affecting 2014 models, which was fixed by a software update. Now i'm not sure how the bms tune would play into this, maybe they coded the tune on top of the old software before this fix was implemented... I'm not familiar with how the BMS tune is implemented/what it impacts in the car software, so wouldn't be able to say for sure.

took it to mini without the bms stage1. fault code 3169idiag. and says 612 faults stored from spirited driving techniques. drove today and it happened again with dsc off and dry roads with bms stage1 reinstalled.

 

Spirited driving is obviously the problem, you should practice more "spiritual driving "
