F55/F56 2015 Build Week 05 Thread
I have two potential setbacks, only one of which perhaps affects you, sirius.
1. The 'slowdown' at ports on the west coast has apparently grown to include the entire seaboard, from Puget Sound to SD. I've watched Port of Oakland, and it's ugly. Cargo ships camped out in the bay for days. They are averting an outright strike by just working at a snail's pace. So unless this changes in the next month, we should expect a significant delay at Port Hunuemeememe (sp)
2. My manifest records for the Manon show RETURNED TO SHIPPER for my VIN. Which may mean that they ran out of room or for some other reason did not take my car with yours! MEH!
Never know what tomorrow's data will bring, though...

My cargo ID tracking still says my car is at the port, but that the Manon is the ship it is to be loaded on. The Manon has left already so I'm not trusting the WW tracking as being up to the minute. This happened with my CM too and sure enough, my CM was loaded and arrived on schedule.
My suggestion would be to check with your MA in a couple days to see if it made it or not.
Excellent!
Yeah, I'm guessing I'm waiting for the next one...
It's really just about timing the sale of my Countryman. I have two offers but between lease payoff and then the rental car between now and the new car delivery, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I may just drive the CM until delivery. Problems to have!

Next one in is the Tomar, arriving to Southampton on the 19th then to Port Hueneme on 3/15. You're looking at probably that second to last week of March for delivery.
Yep... it's unfortunate because I was closer to selling the CM if the rental timeframe was narrower. Who knows, I still might.
What I need to do is stop buying parts for the MINI that isn't even here yet, hahahaha. I'm already in on sport springs, and I'm trying to restrain myself on a few others...

On my R53 I just modded as I went. on the R55 I hardly did anything to it. On the R60 I teed everything up timed for vehicle delivery. This is the first time I've had trouble waiting on the aftermarket stuff. Ha
Hey Guys,
I found out this morning my MCS is on the Oregon Highway and my dealer gave me an ETA of 02/25/2015 for Brunswick. The Oregon Highway is a K-Line ship so I'm not able to track it online like WWL directly, but my MA said most of theirs come via K-Line.
Hope you guys get some more updates on yours soon.
KKelly, I remember your production date was the same as mine and you live just one state over from me so yours might be on the Oregon Highway too.

I logged in this morning and found new (retroactive) info... mine has already been loaded, and in fact, has long left port and is out of range. First time I didn't watch it leave port, ha. But no complaints...
The METIS LEADER.
The METIS LEADER.
heh! and now the ASKMINI refresh --> W&W refresh --> marinetraffic refresh becomes the long dark wait across the Atlantic. This is the most dangerous period for your pocketbook. You're left scouring the NAM marketplace and various vendors for hypothetical future accessories and mods which, as time passes, will start to be come boredom purchases. I already have a small collection of stuff in the garage for the F56 that hasn't even arrived.

So anyone waiting for there vehicle on the Equuleus Leader (NYK)? If yes, and you didn't already know, the boat passed through the Panama Canal yesterday, and has been sailing in the Pacific Ocean and towards Southern California for the last 24 hours. Scheduled arrival at Port Huemene is the 27th.
Whoo hoo! Glad yours in is transit! When does it arrive?
Yeah! And now into the oblivion of gps dead zones. It actually left two days earlier than I found out about it. It's scheduled for around the 11th in PH, ca. Let's see what the portside situation is by then.
And as with my last 3 MINIS I now spend the next three weeks dwelling on not ordering the JCW ha

Yes, I'm really hoping I'm on that ship too... I can't imagine that it wouldn't be since mine arrived at the port in Southampton on the same date as yours--and is headed to the same destination (Brunswick GA). I'm going to contact my MA tomorrow and see if he can confirm... thanks for the update!
so close!!!Mine is taking a moment to enjoy Aruba...
Maybe I should actually update my footer this time... I haven't had stats in there ever, and my sig banner is my old Clubman... two cars back!

Anyone on Equuleus Leasder?
This is a couple of days late, but if you were on the Equuleus Leader, it arrived in Port Hueneme on Friday, dumped its load, and is long gone. Met with my MA yesterday, here in Utah, and the new kid has an ETA to the dealer of TOMORROW!!!! A couple of days for processing, tint, and ppf, and I am hoping to have her on Thursday.

I had nano tint done with them on my Q5 just on the front driver and passenger windows to match the factory tint, but still stay legal and I thought they did a good job on it. They only charged $100 to do the 2 windows on it.
Here is what it looks like and apologies for the poor photo quality:

It works for me cause I just wanted them to sort of blend as close as they could and not look completely blacked out or anything. Plus the visibility is still good when driving.
