Hello!

I'm attempting to replace all of my chrome trim with black to have a solid black/pepperwhite scheme on my new F56. I've searched all over for instructions on how to remove the stock exhaust tip on these newer models, but haven't found any info.

Has anyone removed one? If so, how do you do so?

Just don't ever clean yours, it'll be black within a year

 

A year? Mine is black after 3 months.

 

Why don't you just have it painted? Got mine done a few months ago (no need to remove). This week the belt-line and door handles will be blacked out too.

 

Well, painting it is a decent option and everything... but I'd like to put on something a little bigger with an angled cut.

It's definitely not a single hex nut like some of the older models. I can see inside there are some clamps, but I have no clue how to pop them off and I'm not completely sure it's not ultimately welded on.

While I figure this out, I've dipped the head/tail light trim. Happy with the results. How are you blacking out your handles/belt line?

 

Belt-line and handles will be painted as well. Taillight/headlight rings, boot handle, front grille and taillights themselves have all been painted.
