CARTOON, first of all, this is a very good/interesting thread, so thanks for starting it up (looks like it's been active a while).
I am 32, male, and soon to be the owner of a '15 MCS Blazing Red with a white roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes. I did bounce around on color a bit between the Deep Blue and Blazing red, but decided on the Blazing Red because in my area (Raleigh, NC) I've only seen 1 or 2 other like it, and not and MCS but a Justa.
I will say that even after I ordered it, though I love the color, virtually everyone I have told about the car cringes when I told them I got red because they think it's a ticket magnet.
Can anyone comment on their personal or secondhand experiences with the correlation of color to ticket ratio? And just FYI I have never had a ticket and do drive sensibly; I personally believe that people who speed consistently get tickets, not people who drive red cars, but humor me

I am a male, age 66. My '14 MCS is British Racing Green II with black roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes. I've added black headlight/taillight trim rims, black door handle covers and black fuel door cover.
27, Male and BRG with Black Roof/Mirrors, Rims, Stripes, Hood Scoop, etc. I've left some chrome on for now, but I tend to gravitate toward dark grays and silver for sensible cars, but I love BRG, and the Mini looks perfect in it.
Honestly, I was a little bit worried with some of the color combinations. Electric Blue/White feels like it should have the flower vase from a beetle inside, personally, but done with black roof/stripes/rims, or all blue looks alright. It just looks like a calm summer sky with big fluffy clouds floating around, birds happily chirping and flitting hither and thither, a happy little fish popping his smiling head out of his fish bowl...you can see where this is going. I wanted something that could be grown up, fit in well in some of the areas that I work, project a professional appearance, and look handsome in general, but I also wanted it to be able to get edgy, open the tap and have a bit of fun. If I really want to go have fun on wheels, I'll take the motorcycle out, but I wanted a car that I enjoy driving also, instead of just another cage, and Chesty does that. The BRG/Black adds, and it may be a traditional "masculine" color combo, but when I park at a cafe, grab my coffee and sit down to enjoy the view of my car (an activity which was previously reserved for my bikes only), it's just a damn good looking car, and it makes me smile.
What I'm trying to get at it is the same thing everyone else has been saying here: find what makes you smile and hold onto it, and bugger the rest.
P.s. I thought this was going to be a car-gender thread, which would be an interesting one to start. All of my vehicles have been female, but my girlfriend decided she was going to name Chester (he and I both know it's actually Chesty), which could have something to do with the color scheme as well.

For me, it's way too fun of a car to color gray or black. I might have done white or silver but there really is no pure white or pure silver paint available.
I felt like it needed a more mischievous, more frivolous color.
The electric blue is arguably more "girly" but I love it and I think it fits the personality of the car. I'm very glad I saw the electric blue in person before choosing a color, the online configurator shows a totally inaccurate hue in my opinion.
I am Male. I bought a '15 MCS, electric blue with white top, white stripes and silver wheels.

Another male with an (ordered) F55 S in EB w/White roof, mirrors, and stripes. With apologies who made that choice for their MINI, black on black on black is a choice for 911 Turbos and MB S-Class sedans...MINIs are WAY too much fun for funereal wear.
So funny, the thoughts on color. I absolutely loved my Pepper White, but that was because I ended up making it fun. Named it El Kabong and had graphics done, etc. Everyone (of a certain age) that saw that car totally got it and just loved the whole idea.
My second MINI, Mozart, is way more serious and stealth. While I love the final look, it just doesn't have the fun factor.
So the third one in Volcanic Orange is totally going back to the fun side. I am already grinning about my "theme" and how much fun it will be.
For me, the fun is what I want. While it's still a tough, track capable car (and I have done a number of track events and loved it), I just want to smile every time I go get in my car.

In fact, the only speeding ticket I ever got was on my 'stealth cycle' - a black Honda 250 Motorscooter. I was lane splitting (legal in California) and the Chippie seemed to be upset that I wan't I wasn't stuck in traffic like him and everyone else.
On the sports cars side of things I've had a RX-7 in Black, 911s in Guards Red and Black, and a Boxster in Turquoise Blue. It may well be that I might have exceeded the speed limit on more than one occasion - but no tickets in any of them.

Agreed. That is one color that is truly a chameleon to me. It can go masculine or feminine depending on how you go. I really liked that color but my husband decided on it so I went VO just to be different.

And BTW, 'El Kabong' is by far the best name for a car I've ever heard - just perfect for a white/black MINI.
62 y.o. male, White Silver. Tell the saleswoman tgfh.....I also do not give two ***** what ANYBODY thinks. I like bright colors, wear bright colored shirts, and I enjoy life.....My wife says she needs ear plugs sometimes because my clothes are so loud. I am VERY comfortable who I am, my friends expect me to be this way. I would have ordered the electric blue had it been available. WTF does she care what color you order....A sale is a sale. Its YOUR money, its your car. You're the one who has to look at it every day and be happy with your choice. Tell her you feel sorry for people who allow themselves to be judged by the car color they choose.....Must have NO Self Esteem. You'll shut the Biatch up..
Buy what you want, not what "Others" tell you what you want.
